About the Process
For this production, I had the honor of being assistant designer to Joshua Waltz on his thesis project, RENT, at the University of Florida. I was involved in the design process, providing feedback and working on paperwork. I got to design a few of the ensemble looks for understudies to the leads. I tried to stay in a similar rendering style as the designer. Throughout this process, I learned about how important collaboration between each designer is and how to communicate with designers, directors, and performers well.
